James Monette Inducted onto Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors
Workers Credit Union is pleased to announce AVP, Area Manager James Monette was inducted onto the Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors at their Annual Meeting held on July 30, 2020. James will serve on the board from 2020 – 2023.
“James has been a great addition to Workers Credit Union. His knowledge of and commitment to the community is essential as we continue to serve members and upgrade services in the Gardner, Athol and Orange area” said Peter Rice, Senior Vice President of Retail Services at Workers.
“My goal has always been to provide great service to our members and part of that is supporting the community in which we live and work” stated James. “I look forward to working with the Chamber to achieve the goal of improving the quality of life in the Greater Gardner area.”
James joined Workers in 2019 after a twenty-three-year career in the financial services sector with most positions held at credit unions within North Central Massachusetts. He has a passion for streamlining services to support members as well as a dedication advancing emerging leaders on his team. James lives in Leominster with his wife and two daughters.

The Massachusetts chapter of the Cooperative Credit Union Association (CUNA) recently recognized Workers Credit Union with two first-place awards: The 2023 Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award for the credit union’s charitable program, Workers Kindness, and the 2023 Desjardins Adult Financial Education Award for the credit union’s financial education program, the Workers Way.
