Anything in your apartment that is not securely attached such as furniture, clothing, and electronics are considered “personal property”. Additional coverage may need to be considered for high-value items like jewelry, art, guns, and collections.
While renting, you are responsible for injuries caused to a third party while in or on the property you are renting. Personal Liability Coverage pays for these claims. Some landlords require proof of liability insurance before you’re allowed to move in.
