Fundamental Coverages in Most Special Events Policies

Cancellation/Postponement Coverage

This coverage reimburses you for loss of deposit funds for things like venue, catering, travel, and reprinting of invitations.

Additional Expenses

If a vendor cancels last minute and you are forced to hire a replacement at a higher price, this coverage will reimburse you for a difference of up to 25% of the original contract price.

Photography & Videographer Expenses

If your event photographer or videographer fails to show or has defective equipment and the event needs to be reconvened, this coverage will reimburse you.

Event Gifts

This coverage reimburses you in the event that gifts are damaged while on display and need to be repaired or replaced.

Special Attire

If the special attire rented or purchased specifically for the wedding party is lost or damaged while traveling to the event, this coverage will reimburse those expenses.

Special Jewelry

Like Special Attire, this coverage reimburses you for lost or damaged jewelry purchased or rented specifically for the event by the wedding party. Coverage is usually provided up to seven days prior to the event.

Liability Coverage

This is typically required by the venue and pays for bodily injury, property damage and personal injury for a third party attendee.

Liquor Liability Coverage

If alcohol is served at the event, the venue may also require this coverage. It covers you and your immediate family for damages caused by a third-party, alcohol-related accident at the event. This coverage can only be purchased if Liability Coverage is purchased.
