Westford Parent Connection Speaker Series: What Parents Need to Know About Depression and Anxiety

  • The Westford Parent Connection (WPC) understands that parenting – even in the best of times – can be challenging. For nearly 20 years, the WPC has offered a wide variety of parent education and enrichment programs for anyone who cares about the social and emotional development of young people. This event is with Sue Hanly, RN and Dianne Walsh, LICSW. For parents of students in grades 6-12. (Snow date is 2-28-19) Admission is free. View the entire 2018-19 series schedule.

Lowell Transitional Living Center Tropical Getaway Benefit

  • Location: Zorba Music Hall (437 Market St, Lowell, MA)

  • WCU's Involvement: WCU is a proud Sunset Gold sponsor of this event.

  • Performances by local reggae bands Freevolt and Dis N’ Dat, plus a silent auction. ALL proceeds help to provide warm meals, hot showers, beds, clean clothing, and housing services to homeless adults in the Merrimack Valley. Tropical attire strongly encouraged! Tickets $35 ($20 for students). Includes admission, pizza, desserts, and a fun way to network, dance, and heat up the winter!   • WCU's Involvement: WCU mortgage loan originators will be there happy to talk about financing.

  • The Nashoba Valley Home and Garden Show will focus on innovation and creativity as we help you discover and build your dream home. Exhibitors showcase interior and exterior home improvement products and services that beautify your home, are environmentally friendly, energy efficient and state-of-the-art.

LUK Inc. Kids at Heart Gala

  • WCU's Involvement: WCU is a proud Matchmaker level sponsor.

  • This event offers entertainment, dinner, live and silent auctions, and dancing! Proceeds benefit the LUK Mentoring Program which pairs caring, concerned role models with local youth who will benefit from additional support. Regular price tickets are $75. Tables of 10 are available for $650.

Rise Above Hunger Food Packaging Event



  • Date: Saturday, March 2

  • Time: 10AM-12PM

  • Location: Littleton High School (56 King Street, Littleton, MA)

  • WCU's Involvement: WCU is a proud sponsor.

  • HELP US FEED THE HUNGRY! The Nashoba Valley Rotary Club is funding the cost of the food. Now we need volunteers to assemble meals. You will combine rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables, and a flavoring mix, including 21 essential vitamins and minerals, into small meal packages. The meals are then shipped around the world to support school feeding programs and crisis relief. The food is stored easily, transports quickly and has a shelf-life of two years. Great fun and rewarding for all ages. ​Walk-ins welcome!

Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical High School (Monty Tech) Open House

  • Location: Monty Tech High School (1050 Westminster St, Fitchburg, MA)

  • WCU's Involvement: WCU proudly operates a branch inside the high school. Our team will be at the open house to talk to students and parents.

  • The Monty Tech open house is a public event where potential students and their families are invited to tour the school. All of the shops will be available for tours and a spaghetti dinner is served.

Westford Parent Connection Speaker Series: What Emotional Abuse Looks Like

Arc of Opportunity: Take Me Out to the Ballgame

  • Location: The Arc of Opportunity (161 Boulder Drive, Fitchburg, MA)

  • WCU's Involvement: WCU is a proud Grand Slam sponsor of this event.

  • Join The Arc of Opportunity as we celebrate our beloved Red Sox and fundraise for the Family Support Program! This program provides a variety of life-enhancing resources for individuals with disabilities and their families. This critical program receives very little government funding and relies on the generosity of donors and event participants to continue being a resource. Tickets are $15 and include 5 FREE raffle tickets for the coffee can raffle and entry for a chance to win the door prize of 4 day passes to Great Wolf Lodge! Also enjoy free ballpark snacks, beer tasting, games, music, and dancing. Beverages and additional raffle tickets will be available for sale. Free beer tasting from Westfield River Brewing, Wachusett Brewing Company, and River Styx Brewery is only for those over the age of 21 with proper ID.

  • WCU's Involvement: The WCU Human Resources department will be attending.

  • This is the first ever Career Expo at Monty Tech! Local businesses will be available to chat with students and community members about available job openings. Bring your current resume and dress professionally. This expo is free and open to the public.

North County Panthers Pop Warner



  • Date: Season runs April-October

  • WCU's Involvement: WCU is proud to have donated money towards new equipment.

  • North County Panthers Pop Warner is a nonprofit organization that supports an amazing group of enthusiastic children from Winchendon, Templeton, Rindge, Gardner, Jaffrey, and surrounding towns. The program encompasses youth football and cheerleading. Players consist of children ages 5 through 14 and this upcoming season they are expecting 175 players and cheerleaders. Bicycles Battling Cancer

  • WCU's Involvement: WCU is a proud sponsor of Helene Palmer, employee of Workers Insurance Agency. She is a 5-year breast cancer survivor and this is her first 100 mile bike ride.

  • Bicycles Battling Cancer will be an incredible day as cyclists and volunteers come together to honor cancer survivors, raise awareness about reducing cancer risk, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease. Consider donating to Helen and her team Biking Warriors.

Leominster Starburst 2019



  • Date: Saturday, June 15

  • Time: Gates open at 6PM

  • Location: Doyle Field (100 Priest St, Leominster, MA)

  • WCU's Involvement: WCU is a proud corporate sponsor.

  • Starburst '19 is an evening of music and fireworks! The night consists of performances by the All City school concert band and chorus followed by a magician act for the kids. The feature concert by a 40 piece professional band accompanies the presentation of two Citizen of the Year awards on both the state & local level. The evening is capped off by a dazzling fireworks display. Admission is free.
