Athol Mahar Youth Sports



  • Date: Season runs Spring to Fall

  • football and cheerleading, but also the importance of education, good sportsmanship, honesty, courage, and respect while at the same time, having a memorable experience that they can carry with them in the years to come.

Acton Boxborough Youth Baseball



  • Date: Season runs April-October

  • WCU's Involvement: WCU is a proud sponsor.

  • Acton Boxborough Youth Baseball supports 300 children. Games are held 1-2 times a week from April to October.

North County Panthers Pop Warner



  • Date: Season runs April-October

  • WCU's Involvement: WCU is proud to have donated money towards new equipment.

  • North County Panthers Pop Warner is a nonprofit organization that supports an amazing group of enthusiastic children from Winchendon, Templeton, Rindge, Gardner, Jaffrey, and surrounding towns. The program encompasses youth football and cheerleading. Players consist of children ages 5 through 14 and this upcoming season they are expecting 175 players and cheerleaders. Merrimack Repertory Theatre



  • Date: Season runs September to May

  • WCU's Involvement: WCU is a proud sponsor for the Military and Educator Discount Program

  • Founded in 1979, Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) is a vital cultural, educational, and economic resource for the communities located in Lowell which produces vibrant, contemporary plays that explore what it means to be alive today, and contributes to the advancement of American theatre through the production of new works of literary merit, support of emerging and nationally-recognized artists, and the building of new audiences. MRT has served more than one million theatergoers with more than 230 productions, including 20 world premieres and 37 regional premieres. The seven-show season runs from September through May, and the intimate 279-seat theatre is easily accessible to all.  Learn more about MRT's 2019-2020 season here.

Nashoba Youth Football and Cheer



  • Date: programs run throughout the year

  • WCU's Involvement: WCU is a proud sponsor.

  • Nashoba Youth Football and Cheerleading supports 125 students in grades K-8 participating in football and cheerleading in the towns of Lancaster, Bolton and Stow. With the NYFC being 100% volunteer run, donations like Workers are used to help fund program fees for those with financial difficulties and college scholarships for former athletes.

Marching Spartans (the Oakmont Overlook Music Program)



  • Date: various marching band activities throughout the year

  • WCU's Involvement: WCU is a proud sponsor.

  • The Marching Spartans is the marching band of the Oakmont and Overlook schools in Ashburham. Participants practice two times per week as well as participate in games and competitions in various parts of the state. Workers donation helps fund transportation costs along with additional expenses like replacement uniforms.

Townsend-Ashby Youth Soccer Association



  • Date: Two Seasons run each year

  • WCU's Involvement: WCU is a proud Championship Sponsor.

  • Townsend-Ashby Youth Soccer Association supports 700 children ages 3-19 years old in organized youth soccer

United Way Youth Venture Fall Kick Off

  • Location: Mount Wachusett Community College (242 Green Street, Gardner, MA)

  • The Fall Kickoff is an annual event for United Way Youth Venture that not only brings together all of the Venturers from each of our partner sites, but starts the year on an inspirational and exciting note. This event gives Venturers the chance to network with others working on similar projects, hear from speakers who are experts in service in the community, and be recognized for all of the hard work they have done over the past year.

4th Annual Make-A-Change Inc. Gala

  • Make-A-Change Inc is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing life changing experiences and education to every foster child in America, helping raise strong foster and adoptive homes in our communities. The 4th Annual Gala supports the ongoing work of MAC. Tickets will be available online soon.

Beacon of Hope Community Services Annual Harvest Dinner Dance

  • Beacon of Hope Community Services is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of individuals with developmental disabilities by providing respite, recreational, advocacy and supportive services. Our organization believes in the dignity and value of each individual.

Hosted by Michelle White, ChFC®, AIF®, CLU®, Financial Advisor CUSO Financial Services, L.P. at Workers Credit Union and Kevin Flynn, Regional Marketing Director of Lincoln Financial Distributors. Operation Service 9th Annual Trees for Troops



  • Date: Thursday, November 29 through Saturday December 21

  • Location: The Gardener's Spot (66 Granite Street, Leominster, MA)

  • WCU's Involvement: WCU is a proud sponsor.

  • Operation Service is a local organization supporting the men, women and families of the US Military. Each year, the organization provides free Christmas trees through their partner, The Gardener’s Spot to US Military members (active and veteran). Approximately 600 trees will be given during the program.

Varnum Brook PTO Breakfast with Santa

  • Location: Varnum Brook Elementary School (10 Hollis Street, Pepperell, MA)

  • This event, hosted by the Varnum Brook PTO, will feature a pancake breakfast, photos with Santa, crafts, games and more! The PTO's mission is to enrich the lives of the children in home, school and Community.

Crusaders Youth Hockey Tourney in the Woods



  • Date: Thursday, December 26 - Monday, December 30

  • Location: The Groton School (Farmers Row Road, Groton, MA)

  • WCU's Involvement: WCU is a proud sponsor.

  • For over 40 years, youth hockey players in New England have gathered in Groton from December 26th through December 30th to play in this ever growing hockey tournament. The event has grown to be one of the largest youth hockey tournaments in the region. The tournament provides an opportunity for teams at multiple age levels and divisions to play in a five-day tournament full of fun, competition, skill building, teamwork, and memory making hockey!
