Athol Mahar Youth Sports

  • football and cheerleading, but also the importance of education, good sportsmanship, honesty, courage, and respect while at the same time, having a memorable experience that they can carry with them in the years to come.

Acton Boxborough Youth Baseball



  • Date: Season runs April-October

  • WCU's Involvement: WCU is a proud sponsor.

  • Acton Boxborough Youth Baseball supports 300 children. Games are held 1-2 times a week from April to October.

North County Panthers Pop Warner



  • Date: Season runs April-October

  • WCU's Involvement: WCU is proud to have donated money towards new equipment.

  • North County Panthers Pop Warner is a nonprofit organization that supports an amazing group of enthusiastic children from Winchendon, Templeton, Rindge, Gardner, Jaffrey, and surrounding towns. The program encompasses youth football and cheerleading. Players consist of children ages 5 through 14 and this upcoming season they are expecting 175 players and cheerleaders. Mac N Cheese Festival

  • The Mac N Cheese Festival is an event of the Friends of Templeton Elders, an organization which supports a Senior Community Center and Food Pantry. Proceeds from the Mac N Cheese Festival will help with the completion of soup kitchen to feed the vulnerable in the Templeton Community. The Mac N Cheese Festival will feature a Super Hero theme, crafters, vendors, and easy listening music.

PanMass Challenge



  • Date: Saturday, August 3 - Sunday, August 4

  • Location: Cape Cod, MA

  • WCU's Involvement: WCU is a proud sponsor of WCU employee, Bill Mullin.

  • The Pan-Mass Challenge, which raised $56 million in 2018, raises money for life-saving cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through an annual bike-a-thon that crosses Massachusetts. Since its founding in 1980, the PMC has successfully melded support from committed cyclists, volunteers, corporate sponsors and individual contributors.

Spirit of Hudson Food and Brewfest

  • Spirit of Hudson Food & Brewfest brings more than 2,000 attendees and 100+ food and beer vendors together for this fundraiser for the Rotary Clubs of Hudson and Nashoba Valley. Stop by the Workers Credit Union tent to meet the WCU Crew, play games and get some fun swag!

Lets Move Day/Running for Community 5k

  • Let’s Move Day 5K/Lancaster Running 4 Community event is a community initiative sponsored by The Village Church located in South Lancaster to promote health and fitness. All proceeds go to support community health causes.
    In addition to supporting a local food pantry, this year's proceed will go to support the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition and Suicide Prevention in surrounding communities. Find out more here.

UMass Memorial Foundation Cancer Walk & Run

  • Since 1999, thousands of people come together in September on the campus shared by UMass Medical School and UMass Memorial to show their commitment to the fight against cancer. The money raised supports adult and pediatric cancer research and care, and clinical trials of new potentially lifesaving therapies taking place right here in Central Massachusetts. Learn more.

Leominster Fire Craft Beer Tasting

  • The Leominster Fire Department and the Muscular Dystrophy Association have teamed up for the Third Annual Leominster Fire Craft Beer Tasting! Proceeds from the event with support the MDA which is dedicating to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related neuromuscular diseases. Tickets will be available online soon.

  • Friends of Nashoba Haunted 5k supports the work of the Friends of Nashoba, a group of parents, friends and students invested in the diverse academic and extra-curricular interests of the students of Nashoba Tech. Get your costumes ready to join us for a jaunt through Westford this fall!

Operation Service 9th Annual Trees for Troops

  • Operation Service is a local organization supporting the men, women and families of the US Military. Each year, the organization provides free Christmas trees through their partner, The Gardener’s Spot to US Military members (active and veteran). Approximately 600 trees will be given during the program.

4th Annual Make-A-Change Inc. Gala

  • Make-A-Change Inc is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing life changing experiences and education to every foster child in America, helping raise strong foster and adoptive homes in our communities. The 4th Annual Gala supports the ongoing work of MAC. Tickets will be available online soon.
